The NTI-tss (Nociceptive Trigeminal Inhibition Tension Suppression System) is a small anterior-only bite appliance covering only the maxillary central incisors. By limiting posterior tooth contact, it reduces masseter and temporalis EMG activity by 50-70%.

Posterior tooth contact triggers powerful masseter contraction via the trigeminal nerve. By eliminating posterior contacts entirely, the NTI significantly reduces the intensity of clenching and grinding forces. It is worn primarily at night.
