Quad Helix

The Quad Helix is a fixed slow-expansion appliance made from 0.038" stainless steel wire with four helical loops. It delivers gentle, continuous forces for slow maxillary expansion (~2mm/month) and can simultaneously rotate or distalize molars.

The four helical loops act as springs, storing energy when activated. Upon cementation, the stored energy is slowly released, delivering continuous light forces over several months. Unlike the Hyrax, the Quad Helix does not require patient activation.
