The Haas Expander uses an acrylic-covered palate with an expansion screw, delivering forces to both teeth and palatal bone simultaneously. This dual-action makes it effective for skeletal maxillary expansion.

• Palatal Acrylic Coverage — Acrylic covering the entire palate • Expansion Screw — Midline screw embedded in the palatal acrylic • Stainless Steel Bands — On first molars and first premolars • Wire Framework — 1.0mm SS wire connecting bands to acrylic
How It Works
Unlike the Hyrax (which only contacts teeth), the Haas Expander presses against the palatal mucosa, distributing expansion forces across both dental and skeletal structures. This can produce more orthopedic expansion and less dental tipping.
